![]() The National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology (as established in Section 1091 of Public Law 117-81) will carry out a review of advances in emerging biotechnology and associated biotechnologies. ![]() This position may require occasional evening, weekend, and/or overtime work and work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station. This employee must be able to pass a NACI background check. The expected annual salary for this position is $150,000 with eligibility for standard benefits. Qualified candidates will have biotechnology experience and experience working with or within the national security community. Primary responsibilities include: managing policy research and agenda-building as directed by the Commission’s Policy Director, Commission senior staff, and, as appropriate, Commissioners working with the Policy Director to build recommendations for legislative and executive action relevant to the Commission’s mandate leading written reports and briefings discussing findings and recommendations and collaborating with other drafters on interim and final reports collaborating with other policy staff on projects representing the Commission staff in policy discussions related to national security and other duties as assigned.
